Lasagna Quilt

This is made from one jelly roll (or 40 2.5" strips cut width of fabric) with the strips sewn end-to-end.  Fold the strip in half and sew the edges.  Cut the fold when you get to the end and finish the seam.  Do this a total of 5 times and you have a quilt top!  It finishes at 48 x 64 without borders.  Took me 2 hours total.  Amazing.    I added borders, so that added maybe another 30 minutes.  I pulled from my stash for that and the binding.  It's crazy  how fast it goes.  Here is a link to a video and specific directions:  http://blog.heirloomcreations.net/?p=1897  I did this one for charity - our guild supports "Comfort Quilts" - so someone will enjoy it.  I quilted a ribbon meander on it - a very quick finish for a very quick quilt.  July 2011
