Pat's 30's broken dishes

My friend Pat made this - a broken dishes variation - using 30's reproduction fabrics.  I love all the cute little patterns in the fabrics - pumpkins, snowmen, flowers, polka dots, etc.  I used a circle template in the yellow border, ruler for zig zags in the red border, and line dancing and ruler work in the body.  We both love how the stars were created in the alternate block by quilting to a point near the middle of each triangle.   I used an off white thread that blends perfectly - even on the red back.
Its 57 x 75

Just love the quilting on my 30s broken dishes quilt. The stars in the alternate blocks as well as the border quilting really make the quilt come alive. thanks Pat
