QUILT OF VALOR

Betsy pieced this top and I snagged it right away to quilt it.  Look at all that empty white space for me to play with :)  It's 60 x 72.







I used 5-6 different fills it the white areas:







Then I mimicked the pinwheels, and added 8-pointed stars:







I added feathers in the white stripes,  and hooks and loops in the red areas:





Back and forth fill in the white areas of the pinwheel.  I left the blue unquilted so it pops:





The back is a medium blue, and shows the quilting well:
