Anne's Dripping Sun

 Anne makes the best art quilts that are so much fun to quilt.  She is entering this in the 2021 Kumquat Festival in March.  We took 1st place in 2020, and are hoping to repeat.  This one is approximately 36 x 60.  She will eventually cut an irregular shape, with the quilt itself dripping too.  

She has placed the dripping sun over our state - Florida.  If you look closely you can see where I have stitched an outline - this is approximately where she will cut the quilt before binding.

She added a face to the sun:

She also added many many Florida landmarks.  I outlined all of these, as well as quilting more "drips" in the orange/yellow areas

 Pat K. made this for her daughter.  All I had to do was quilt it.  It's 82 x 90, 

and I used a smoke grey thread to quilt a pantograph.

Kathy's Halloween Quilt

 Kathy bought this kit several years ago and finally got it finished.  It was lots of fun to quilt.  She did a great job fussy cutting the blocks to show off each panel.  It's 87 x 87.  I had a lot of fun outlining throughout the border, and adding highlights to the panel blocks.

The border was a continuous pattern:

This print was used in the corners of the borders.  I quilted a large pumpkin in them.

The backing is a cute polka-dot that continues the colors front the front:

Ruthie's Tablecloth

 Ruthie purchased a table cloth at a yard sale years ago - she thinks she paid $5.  She asked me to quilt it, and to have fun.  I sure did...  It's 49 x 68

There are millions of feathers, from borders, to wreaths, with pebbles to highlight it all.  I worked to highlight the embroidery that was already there.  She chose a blue backing to match the front, and wanted to keep the scalloped edges.

It's not trimmed, as she wanted to do that as she hemmed the edges.  She brought the back to the front and hand-stitched it in place to keep the scalloped edges.

Quilt of Valor

 I made this one entirely from scraps in my stash.  It consists of "dots and dashes", so I named it Morse Code :)  It's 64 x 70.   I used a white thread and quilted an all-over pantograph.

Quilt of Valor

 This quilt of valor was made by someone in my group at the February 2020 National Sew Day. 

 It's made entirely of half-square triangles, and is 60 x 72.

Barb's Fun Flowers

 Barb made this out of some fun fabrics.  It's a mix of flower petals and 9-patches, and is 66 x 80.

I quilted a hook in the flower petals, and feathers between them.

The 9-patch blocks are made from a striped fabric and white.

  I quilted loops in the white, and hooks in the print:

I quilted feathers in the pink border, and parallel lines in the larger outer border:
